Poems and quotes

Hello and welcome to my section on Poems and quotes about eating disorders, troubles and triumphs. This is aimed to be a recourse that provides inspiration, enthusiasm for triumph and more positive thinking. Some poems are about deep emotions often felt during eating disorders so that people suffering can relate to poems that reflect their feelings, (in hopes of helping on understand their own feelings).

If you have any poems yourself you wish to publish please submit them with Author details (or via the contacts page) and I will be sure to post it!

My First Poem.

Me, myself and why

Looking frantically in desperate search of hope,

Whilst running from a manifestation of confusion.

Grasping at love in a seemingly decreasing scope,

Whilst confiding in a mistaken reflection, denying cerebration.

Dreaming deeply of life’s happiest year,

Whilst appeasing the ego’s demands, for its recognition.

Reminiscent of the unconditional once near,

Whilst regretting the conditions of the vicarious induction.

When victimising of one’s self serves no purpose,

When dissatisfaction is a bottomless pit,

When self destructive acts only excite the circus,

It’s time to abolish negativity, with your hardest hit.

This is one of my personal favourite motivational poems..... enjoy

Promise yourself

Promise yourself to be strong so that nothing can

Disturb your piece of mind

To talk of health, happiness and prosperity to

every person you meet.

To make sure all your friends fee there is

Something in them

To look at the sunny side of everything and make

Your optimism come true

To think only of the best, work only for the best

And expect only the best

To be just as enthusiastic about success of others

As you are about your own

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on

The greater achievements of the future

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give

Every living person you see a smile

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself

That you have no time to criticize others

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger and

Too strong for fear, and too happy to permit

The presence of trouble

The optimist creed, from the optimist international

Thought of the day:

There is no elevator so you have to take the stairs, yep that's one step at a time!

Be gentle with yourself.
